Stuart has been with AEA since establishment. He is one of Australia’s foremost landfill gas experts, heads up AEA’s landfill business and team and is a Director.

He has over 25 years’ industry experience in landfill and contaminated sites related projects, both in the UK and Australia. He has provided high level technical expert support including acting as expert witness in legal cases for a wide variety of projects, particularly in relation to landfill gas/hazardous ground gas, landfill operations and aftercare management.

Stuart has extensive experience in local governments all across the country and has a thorough understanding of the most recent regulatory legislation, and has provided technical review of various regulator guidance documents prior to public consultation related to landfill and landfill gas.

After completing a degree in England and beginning his career as an environmental scientist at a waste management company and subsequently as a landfill gas manager, Stuart moved to Australia and has gained further experience working in environmental consulting and providing technical support at two major consultancies before joining AEA.

Stuart is an avid football fan.
