Landfill Financial Assurance Auditor Approval

Project Summary –
AEA’s landfill auditor and team were engaged to undertake a detailed review of the financial assurance calculation and supporting documentation. EPA correspondence required Council to provide an updated Financial Assurance Assessment for the local landfill. Maintenance of Financial Assurance is also a standard condition of landfill licences (Condition LI_G6).
The financial assurance documents were reviewed by AEA’s landfill team and comments provided for revisions. The amended financial assurance documents were reviewed to see if they addressed AEA’s comments and fulfilled EPA requirements. An auditor review of the correspondence was completed along with the supporting EPA form (F1014) and submitted to EPA for formal approval and adoption. The updated financial assurance was accepted by EPA and formal approval was provided.
